Are you our next Advanced Water Treatment Operations Lead?
This position will manage and optimize advanced process water treatment systems located throughout Mosaic facilities. Partner with operations, water strategy and gyp engineering to plan and implement additional treatment as needed ensuring ongoing, minimized risk to Mosaic.
What will you do?
Evaluate, recommend and implement changes to increase production, improve performance and optimize overall process including chemical usage. Work with other technical support staff and third party water treatment specialists to plan and implement additional new projects as needed to ensure ongoing water management while mitigating risk.
Provide oversight for contracting activities and perform inspections of all water treatment systems across multiple facilities on a weekly basis ensuring compliance and performance requirements are met. Review daily reports and process control data relating to production, process upsets and down time and work with third party to address issues. Actively manage third party contracts to ensure continuous value creation in areas of overall service, production, quality and EHS aspects of all Mosaic treatment systems. Maintain contracts and issue Purchase Requisitions for all service contracts, rental contracts and maintenance activities. Develop and maintain critical spares parts inventory onsite or stored by others.
Manage financial activities including monthly accruals, forecasting, developing budgets, working with other functional groups such as ARO and Gyp Stack operations to accurately estimate and manage water treatment costs.
Maintain EHS compliance to include management of MOC’s, permit compliance, auditing, incident reporting, investigations and risk reduction at water treatment facilities.
Create, monitor and track key performance indicators for treatment system based on Mosaic’s changing needs (maximize production / cost reduction). Present metrics and provide business updates on progress to key stakeholders. Recommend solutions on identified issues.
What do you need for this role?
High School Diploma/GED with 12-15 years related experience in overseeing, designing, operating advanced water treatment systems or Bachelor’s in Engineering, Chemistry or related degree with 10 years of same experience required.
Degree major in Chemical Engineering preferred.
Prior leadership experience required.
Industrial Water Treatment Certifications preferred.
Strong understanding of process water and wastewater systems.
Ability to comply with all safety and environmental policies.
Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Must demonstrate ability to influence others.
Requires strong leadership qualities.
