Are you our next Materials Coordinator?
The Materials Coordinator is primarily responsible for verifying and expediting maintenance materials and operational supplies for planned work. In addition, they may be required to assist in emergency work, as well as assist Procurement in the ordering and sourcing function as technical needs arise.
What will you do?
Managing backorder statuses (parts that may not arrive by the scheduled start date). Work closely with plant personnel on resolving issues related to material substitutions or availability. Provide recommendations to Maintenance Supervisors for resolution of off-shift partial kit usage. Provide feedback to Planners to improve and correct records.
Manage cataloging process; screen all requested parts to be cataloged. This entails looking through BU list and determining the need. Work with requestor and suppliers to ensure all specifications are correctly identified and entered Maximo. They must check to ensure the items will not be duplicated in the system.
Facilitate inventory additions process; Once a part is requested to be added, research and collaborate with Warehouse personnel, Maintenance personnel, and Suppliers to determine availability and readiness. Or conversely, if we have existing substitutions elsewhere in the BU. Their information will be used to justify the need in the approval step.
Reviewing out of stock issues in the warehouse and elevate to the appropriate purchasing agent and Area Coordinator. Assist with setup of VMI programs.
Communicate daily with Scheduler and Area personnel to ensure kit deliveries and returns are accurately handled. Manage the returns and processing of the core repairable spares.
Communicate daily with the Kitting Team to ensure a high level of customer service to work execution personnel. Review planned work orders, verify material availability, determine proper sourcing and ordering materials. . Provide feedback to improve or correct vendor, parts, and bill of material records.
Coach, and develop personnel assigned to manage kitting/staging activities. Monitor work order feedback for opportunities to improve processes.
What do you need for this role?
High School Diploma/GED required.
Technologist Associates degree preferred.
3-5 years of Phosphates Industry experience required.
5-8 years of Plant Maintenance experience required.
Maximo experience preferred.
Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred.
