Are you our next Engineer I-Capital?

The Engineer I-Capital will be responsible for Use of Capital Project Management process to accurately schedule, budget and monitor projects. Provide general engineering services.

What will you do?

  • Ensure regulatory, corporate and site safety standards are followed through the implementation of safety and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to achieve results in alignment with mission objectives. This includes workplace behavior observations, risk assessment, incident investigation and corrective action and cause mapping/RCFA for system improvement

  • Short and long-term planning, scheduling/tracking and execution of design and procurement activities. Collaborate with production and maintenance personnel in order to provide timely engineering department response to planning directives. Enable implementation or incorporation of engineering processes into operations.

  • Lead and manage Design and Improvement Groups.

  • Design - turning research ideas into technical plans using computer aided design (CAD) and computer modeling programs. Research and Development - assessing new products and innovations.

  • Use of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)/Cause Mapping and other initiatives in design changes to correct/improve production output.

What do you need for this role?

  • Bachelor’s in Civil or Mechanical discipline required

  • Entry level experience preferred

  • MS Office, Internet, CAD experience required

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach for new ideas

  • Excellent technical knowledge, including fluid dynamics

  • Good team working skills

  • The ability to prioritize and plan effectively

  • A high level of computer literacy, particularly computer-aided design

  • Good commercial awareness

  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
