We are currently seeking an Automation Coordinator at our Esterhazy, K1 SK location. The successful candidate will coordinate with operations, maintenance and capital in developing new projects involving electrical and instrumentation control systems. They will also be involved in developing a rolling 5-year strategy for upgrade and integrity of the automation network. The role will include working collaboratively with electrical and instrumentation crews to monitor and manage the automation software and systems (PLC, DCS, HMI), maintaining licensing requirements and some budget development for these systems. Tasks may also include alarm and control systems communication monitoring. This position will be a key resource for the integration of the K3 to K1 overland conveyor project currently underway. Assisting in the development of quality project turnover packages for maintenance will also be required.

What will you be working on?

  • Coordinating with Capital project managers regarding automation components of projects aiming to develop high quality turnover packages

  • PLC, HMI and DCS upgrades and licensing

  • K3 to K1 integration

  • Alarm management and systems communications monitoring

  • Develop and support continuous improvement ideas, six sigma projects, workout teams and other company initiatives

What is required for this role?

  • Electrical OR Instrumentation Journeyperson certification

  • 5-7 years of related experience in the industrial electrical / automation environment

  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary groups and other service and production departments

  • Process automation and planning experience is an asset

  • Knowledge and experience in using Maximo, Kronos, Microsoft office is an asset

  • Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.

  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
