Are you our next Team Member?

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Analyst at our Esterhazy K2, SK location. The successful candidate will safely and efficiently perform the duties of the Mechanical Analyst in an assigned area on an assigned shift.

What will you be working on?

  • Inspect all mining face equipment, conveyors and the panfeeders in the shaft area and report on the results.

  • Maintain an inventory list of spare parts by equipment number.

  • Maintain a thorough oil analysis program of selected gearboxes, which includes collecting the samples and report on the results.

  • Monitor the miner gearboxes with computerized vibration analysis equipment and report the results.

  • Perform ultrasonic and dye penetrant test on shafts and other machine components as required during inspections.

  • Work independently and with minimal guidance from maintenance staff.

  • Review machine performance with operators and recommend appropriate maintenance actions.

  • Fluently read all drawings, prints, sketches and parts manuals.

  • Display full knowledge and use of micrometers, dial indicators and other tools necessary to achieve the settings and tolerances required.

  • Interpret and carry out written or oral instructions and to make written reports as required.

  • Diligently adhere to all relevant legal environmental requirements.

  • Diligently ensure that all relevant OH&S requirements and in-house safety regulations are complied with.

What is required for this role?

  • A diploma from a recognized institute as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist or equivalent Engineering Technologist program.

  • Five years’ experience in a mining or industrial operation.

  • Successful completion of level II Vibration Analysis and level I certifications in each of, Infrared, Airborne Ultrasound and Oil Analysis (MLA1 or MLT1).

  • Working knowledge of warehousing, direct ordering, requisitioning spare parts and supplies.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, the Internet, ORACLE and EMPAC computer systems.

  • Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.

  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
