We are currently seeking a Mechanical Integrity & Reliability Superintendent at our Esterhazy, K2 location. The Superintendent is responsible to lead and manage all aspects of the Asset Integrity and Reliability programs associated with rotating, stationary and structural assets. This includes the inspection programs, budgeting and cost control, quality assurance, and safety and regulatory compliance. This position also requires you to hire and manage outside engineering, contractors, and NDT testing firms as required to implement and maintain the asset integrity programs, and to coordinate the defect elimination program including defect identification, root cause analysis, and defect elimination plan.

What will you be working on?

  • Ensure regulatory, corporate and site safety and environmental standards are being followed by conducting safety audits, risk assessments and housekeeping tours. Ensure asset integrity programs meet all Mosaic, Regulatory, and Code requirements

  • Lead and manage the Asset Integrity and Reliability Department at one site for high performance by ensuring that direct reports understand their work and their roles, providing a clear picture for employees of how to grow and develop while motivating them to reach their maximum potential, giving timely and constructive feedback (e.g., recognition, developmental guidance) on a regular and more formal basis, ensuring employees feel engaged and understand how they contribute to Mosaic's overall vision and goals; managing performance issues; manage and resolve engineering and construction issues

  • Coordinate daily and long term man-power planning, scheduling and execution of asset integrity work through the Reliability Engineers, Mechanical Integrity Engineers and Inspectors, and Predictive Maintenance/Lubrication Supervisors, driving improvements in Asset Health to support safe, reliable production in the underground and surface operations.. Ensure projects are meeting all applicable standards and requirements in terms of safety, quality, timeliness and cost

  • Lead and manage the implementation and continuous improvement of the structural integrity programs and inspection procedures. Work with counterparts in the organization to ensure alignment across Esterhazy and other Potash sites

  • Coordinate the defect elimination effort by root cause analysis and focusing effort on highest priority assets, and working with Maintenance and Engineering on a defect elimination plan. Share plans and learnings with counterparts in the organization

What is required for this role?

  • Engineering Degree with specialization in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Civil

  • P. Eng preferred

  • 8+ years of experience in engineering or related discipline, with emphasis on reliability and or structural remediation

  • Experience in a potash environment is an asset. Outstanding record of leading people.

  • Preference will be given to individual with experience with; API 571 Inspections or Equivalent, CWB Welding Inspection, ASME pressure vessel, code section V, Section VIII, IX, ASME pressure piping B31.1 & B31.3, API codes and recommended practices, Structural welding codes, CSA W59, AWS D1.1

  • Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing

  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
