Are you our next Team Member?
We are currently seeking a Sr. Mine Engineer at our Esterhazy K2, SK location. The Sr. Mine Engineer is responsible to supervisor and mentor engineers and technicians in the mine engineering group. They provide production and development mine planning services to operations through daily interactions and by participating in scheduled meetings. This person becomes a subject matter expert in all things related to potash mining in order to provide value to operations.
What will you do?
Ensure employee safety through compliance with all safety and mine regulations, company policy and regulations
Ensure that daily, short-term and long-term mine plans are prepared consistent with established practices
Provide engineering assistance and technical guidance to management, supervisors, crews and contractors
Provide leadership by participating in continuous improvement programs, the development of standards and procedures and through time spent in the field
Understand, promote and operate by overall company vision and values, goals, objectives and strategies
What do you need for this role?
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with specialization in Mine, Mechanical, Industrial or Geological
5-10 years experience in an underground mine environment.
Experience in supervising an underground crew is an asset
AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project, Surfer, Xpan, and Ventsim is an asset
Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.
Must be authorized to work in Canada.
