Are you our next Team Member?

We are currently seeking a Temporary Service Contract Coordinator I (approximately 12 months) at our Esterhazy K1, SK location. The successful candidate will coordinate service contracts for the identified Potash site capital and expense contracts. The Service Contract Coordinator I will partner with site contract stakeholders including department managers (safety, procurement, operations, capital and finance), the site management team and third party contractors to implement the Contract Management and Administration Process (CMA). The Contract Coordinator I will initiate, administer and communicate requirements for service contract execution including cost and schedule control. The Service Contract Coordinator I initiates site contract documentation analysis, reporting, claims, negotiation and cost savings.

What will you be working on?

  • Cost Savings: Help lead and facilitate service contract cost saving initiatives, analysis, and reporting. Develop and direct cross-functional teams to implement the CMA process which are fundamental to the cost-saving initiatives.

  • Leadership and Guidance: Act as a site champion and provide subject matter expertise for the CMA process. Serve as a member of the Potash Business Unit (PBU) CMA team to ensure standardization and best practices of the CMA process.

  • Process Development and Training: Help create, establish, and communicate contract management and administration systems, processes, tools, and training materials for the site and the PBU. Along with the CMA team, develop software requirements, upgrades, implementation, and testing for the CMA process and contractor management. Train and educate internal stakeholders and contractors as per the CMA process. Develop and implement management of change and lessons learned. Develop and implement the site documentation and electronic structure for service contract documents in partnership with the PBU CMA team.

  • Contractor Management: Help establish, lead, and direct the service contract process including contract data collection, data inputs, and verification of contractor deliverable. Establish a unified system for reconciling labor, equipment, and material (LEM) costs and rates. Develop the reconciliation process for service contracts in coordination with time tracking systems. Monitor compliance of contract requirements before directing invoice issuance, approvals, and verification's. Ensure contracts are managed as per the contractual terms. Advise the project managers on contract interpretation, commercial obligations, and when to initiate complex investigations. Responsible for contract meeting minutes and to follow-up on actions.

  • Service Contract Management: Analysis, and Reporting. Provide contract support for all site service contracts in partnership with operations, capital, procurement, finance, and EHS. The Service Contract Coordinator I is a key member of the Potash Business Unit CMA team. The Service Contract Coordinator I coordinates service contract set-up, support bid process, tracking, reporting, cost and earned valued analysis, progress payments, claim disputes, key performance indicators, and contract closeout activities. The Service Contract Coordinator I liaises with contract stakeholders to direct, analyze, communicate, and report information pertaining to the contract. The Service Contract Coordinator I, along with the CMA team, will help develop strategic long and short-term CMA activities establishing strong value-added contractor relations.

What is required for this role?

  • High School/GED is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a major in Accounting, Engineering, or Administration.

  • SCMP designation or Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) is consider an asset.

  • Microsoft Office Experience - specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Maximo Asset Management and SAP is an asset.

  • 1+ years of related experience is required.

  • Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.

  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
