Are you our next Director, Corporate Treasury & Capital Markets?
The Director, Corporate Treasury & Capital Markets manages the corporate finance component of Mosaic Treasury Organization and assists the Vice President and Treasurer in managing bank and rating agency relations, debt portfolio management and related financings, foreign exchange exposure management, financial risk management, pension investment management, capital structure and other various corporate finance activities. This individual will have substantial interaction with Senior Corporate Management and business leaders worldwide.
What will you do?
Develop, execute and maintain global funding strategies and plans.
Serve as key interface with bankers, creditors and rating agencies, which will include managing specific financing transactions.
Direct and lead covenant forecasting and compliance reporting. Oversight of leasing activities.
Direct global treasury SOX compliance and reporting.
Work with senior management to evaluate and maintain strategic capital structure.
Work with the Vice President, Treasurer to coordinate and negotiate terms of credit facility renewals, any future capital issuances, and dividend/share repurchase policy development.
Analyze areas such as options pricing, lease versus buy decisions, interest rate swaps, debt repurchase, stock repurchase, and WACC computations.
Oversight of the global FX and interest rate hedging process.
Implement process to manage foreign exchange exposure of international subsidiaries.
Assess foreign exchange exposure of subsidiaries in Canada, Brazil, Argentina, India and China and help develop strategies to manage and hedge these exposures.
Maintain and enhance corporate financial risk management policy and support the Finance Risk Committee (FRC).
Oversight of treasury related industry benchmarks and various matrixes for treasury department.
Provide oversight for the pension managers and advise Mosaic’s Global Pension Investment Committee.
Monitor performance and advise investment committees on matters involving the pension plans in these countries.
Review performance of US pension plan, both DB and DC.
Support the Pension Investment Committee (PIC).
Lead, develop and coach international treasury operations and capital markets employees in order to retain and expand organizational talent through focused attention and effort.
Provide timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles and the business.
Manage performance issues when necessary.
What do you need for this role?
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business required.
CFA and/or CTP preferred.
10+ years of experience in capital markets, banking, or corporate finance, or related experience (consulting, audit, financial planning and analysis, etc.)
2+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
Experience in debt & equity markets, capital structure and lease financing preferred.
Understanding of pension and retirement investment preferred.
Experience in bond issuance or bank loan documents, high yield debt markets and structures, and lease financing preferred.
Exposure to global finance, foreign exchange, and international tax is strongly preferred.
Candidates with knowledge of the fertilizer industry are preferred.
Candidates with knowledge of Mosaic’s business and business processes are preferred.
Microsoft Office knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present concepts and proposals at high levels.
