The Mosaic Company Senior Director, Global Talent in Lithia, Florida

Are you our next Senior Director, Global Talent?

In concert with Mosaic’s overall strategy and direction and as a member of the Human Resources Leadership Team, the Senior Director, Global Talent will provide direction for the global talent management, acquisition and global mobility strategies, systems, processes and tools. This person will build and maintain strong partnerships with the HR Leadership Team, business/functional leaders, and field HR Business Partners to ensure a strong understanding of Mosaic’s business strategies to develop and execute global talent strategies and programs to support and drive execution of Mosaic’s business strategy, values and priorities. In addition, this role will be responsible for aligning our strategic workforce planning and diversity and inclusion initiatives to our Mosaic talent strategies.

What will you do?

  • Talent Management: Direct the development and delivery of global talent management strategies and initiatives, which will include succession planning, leadership development, employee engagement, performance management, and continuous learning/training programs. Responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing business needs, and in consultation with HR and business partners, recommending solutions to close performance gaps.

  • Evaluating organization-wide initiatives for continued effectiveness and alignment with business needs.

  • Providing direction for the global training strategy in coordination with the technical support provided by HR Operations for the enterprise Learning Management System.

  • Providing direction for employee engagement, coaching, career guidance/development, employee assessments and leadership counseling.

  • Recommending job enrichment and skill development opportunities in alignment with established employee development plans.

  • Directing the selection of vendors and/or assessment tools/systems used to perform organizational, cultural and talent assessments to design appropriate integrated talent management strategies and interventions.

  • Talent Acquisition and Talent Mobility: Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to build a sustainable talent pipeline for all positions on an enterprise basis. Partner with business leaders to build consensus and support the implementation of governance, standards and strong processes to execute the Mosaic Talent Acquisition strategy. Plan and direct the overall design and implementation and ensuring compliance of all Global Mobility programs, consistent with the Mosaic’s strategic direction and employment proposition and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Partnership: Build and leverage relationships with the HR Leadership Team, field HR business partners, and business/functional leadership to ensure talent management and acquisition programs are understood, championed, actively supported and consistently implemented. Ensure that the integrated talent management and acquisition strategies, programs, systems, processes and tools are aligned with the Mosaic strategy and meet the business needs in a timely, cost effective manner. Facilitate the delivery and implementation of Talent Management and Acquisition programs, processes and tools through the HR Generalists.

  • Strategic Workforce Planning: Design and develop a strategic workforce planning model, employee branding strategy and employee experience plan to address organizational needs.

  • Diversity and Inclusion: Provide strategic leadership for the development and management of Mosaic’s diversity and inclusion initiatives in acquiring, developing and retaining our talent. Other job duties and projects as assigned.

  • People Leadership: Develop and coach employees in order to retain and expand organizational talent through focused attention and effort. Provide timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles and the business. Manage performance issues when necessary. Work with employees on their career development plans.

What do you need for this role?

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with a major in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Effectiveness, Business or related field

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Effectiveness, Business or related field preferred

  • 10+ years of professional HR experience in strategic HR business partnership, talent acquisition, talent management or related experience

  • Superb technical skills in talent acquisition and talent management

  • Deep knowledge in areas of talent strategy, competency models, talent assessment and development, talent identification and succession planning, leadership development program design and implementation

  • Proven experience managing multiple, complex projects and priorities

  • Proven ability to manage and get results in a matrixed environment; proven business partnering and consultative skills

  • Proven strategic planning capabilities

  • Strong understanding of business operations and functional requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to create culture of adaptability and accountability

  • Understanding of change management principles and practical change management experience

  • Strong knowledge of U.S employment laws and practices

  • Working knowledge of global employment laws and labor unions preferred

  • Proven experience in Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Experience with learning management systems

  • Experience working with HRIS systems preferred

  • Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills

  • Ability to adapt to various audiences and styles

  • Ability to effectively articulate ideas and concepts to large audiences, including executive level management, with clarity and persuasiveness

  • Strong interpersonal and human relations skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with emphasis on developing high performing teams

  • Ability to effectively communicate and delegate to team

  • Proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information

  • Ability to work with and create effective partnerships at all levels of the organization and establish strong network with executives, senior leaders and professionals

  • Ability to lead through influence and network

  • Ability to drive large scale changes throughout the organization

  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Ability to handle and resolve conflict

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision making skills

  • Strong business and financial acumen

  • Must have the ability to travel within the U.S and Canada approximately 10-20% of time; some global travel may be required
