Are you our next Shipping/Receiving Assistant?
The Shipping/Receiving Assistant will be responsible for the receipt and shipping of materials, supplies and products and will ensure all raw materials, semi-finished, and finished materials are either received or shipped from Mosaic plants. Responsibilities will include working with logistics planning, inventory management and customer service teams to ensure accurate and prompt transactions as well as troubleshoot issues as needed; measuring and monitoring performance and compliance to stated goals and objectives.
What will you do?
Receive and review receipts for inbound goods (all modes of transportation – truck, barge, rail, vessel) used throughout Mosaic plants, validate receipts, and verify items in SAP and other integrated systems (OIS, and PLS).
Create shipments in SAP system for all outbound materials (all modes of transportation – truck, barge, rail, vessel) against sales orders and inter/intra-company moves between plants.
Identify issues with documentation and work with the business to get the correct information then update the entry in SAP.
Validate completion of issues relating to post goods to ensure accurate and timely invoicing of the customer.
Ensure timely invoicing and payment to our external vendors through validation of receipts for goods.
Ensure a clean desk policy.
Assist the Inventory Management Team with inventory reconciliation activities.
Communicate inventory adjustments as needed.
Work closely with other functional teams to troubleshoot issues as needed. Manage the diversion and re-shipment process in coordination with the customer service and accounts payable teams.
Monitor and correct failed shipment cost documents as needed.
Participate in and/or assist with various job duties, department projects and process improvements as assigned.
What do you need for this role?
High School/GED required. Associates Degree in Commerce of Business Administration preferred.
1+ years of experience in a position requiring system data input, verification, reconciliation, and a high level of accountability for accuracy of detailed data required.
1+ years of Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Transportation, or Logistics experience preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
SAP Experience preferred.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.
Good problem solving skills are a must.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to manage time appropriately.
