The Talent Management Manager will design, develop and execute integrated global talent management initiatives, processes and related tools and resources for the Corporate Functions, Commercial and International Distribution areas in alignment with Mosaic’s business strategies and in coordination with HR objectives and philosophy. This person will provide overall Talent Management expertise and support for key talent management strategies which engage employees, enhance organizational capabilities, and drive strong business performance. In addition, they will influence, champion and measure effectiveness and impact of talent management strategic initiatives while providing overall project leadership and management of global talent management initiatives.

What will you do?

  • Business Unit Talent Management: Lead and execute the talent management strategy on behalf of the Corporate Functions, Commercial and International Distribution areas. Communicate, execute, manage and track/measure the effectiveness and impact of Talent Management strategic objectives for these groups. Talent management initiatives include, but are not limited to: annual learning needs assessment, learning and development program planning and delivery, leadership development/succession planning/top talent development planning and execution, team development and assessment services, employee engagement action planning, career development support, and talent management metrics and reporting. This position serves as a key strategic talent management partner to the Corporate Functions, Commercial and International Distribution Senior HR Business Partner and the broader HR team.

  • Talent Management Program Management: Provide leadership and subject matter expertise on key talent management initiatives to enhance business unit performance and support talent management key processes, including performance management, engagement, leadership/career development, talent calibrations and succession planning. Execute the communication and implementation of and track/measure the effectiveness of global talent programs. Determine if modification of learning and development programs is required to meet Corporate Functions, Commercial and International Distribution needs and manage the customization process. Represent the assigned areas on future strategic talent management initiatives. Actively participate in and contribute to the talent management team.

  • Consultation/Partnership: Consult and partner with Commercial and functional leaders and HR Business Partners to coordinate implementation of talent management initiatives and to facilitate the use of all program tools and resources at the business unit level. Continuously identify and implement talent management practices that add value to the business and simplify execution. Build and maintain strong, positive, effective working relationships with HR partners and business/functional leaders (become a trusted advisor) as well as with the Corporate Talent Management function.

  • Budget: Provide budget leadership for business unit talent management initiatives. Prepare business case and budget estimates for Corporate Functions, Commercial and International Distribution talent management efforts. Partner in the annual talent management budget process. Track potential ROI/financial outcomes from talent management initiatives. Accountability for ensuring dollars allocated from Corporate TM to support TM strategic priorities in the assigned business unit are tracked, utilized and reported to the Vice President, Global Talent.

What do you need for this role?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organization Learning & Development, OD/OE, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, or related degree required.

  • Master’s Degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in human resource development including at least 5 years of experience in 4 or more of the following required:

  • performance management,

  • employee engagement,

  • career development,

  • succession planning,

  • top talent identification and development,

  • leadership and professional development,

  • learning solutions management,

  • coaching

  • individual/team/leadership assessment services

  • Exposure to or knowledge of Assessment Instruments such as MBTI, DiSC, 360’s, EQ, team assessments

  • Franklin Covey, Situational Leadership, Coaching preferred.

  • Prefer certification in MBTI, 360s, EQ, team assessments

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

  • Learning management systems

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills

  • Excellent listening skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail

  • Ability to effectively navigate a highly-matrixed organization

  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Ability to travel within North America up to 20% of time
