The Mosaic Company Area Supervisor in Mulberry, Florida
Are you our next Area Supervisor?
This position oversees the safe and environmentally sound day-to-day production activities to support the continuous operations of the facility.
What will you do?
Lead, mentor and develop a team of operators in their current roles and hold accountable to achieve short-term, defined key performance indicators (KPIs).
Manage and comply with established policies and procedures, appropriately delegating tasks to assigned team.
Possess department-specific understanding of process and equipment, articulate how a process works, and be able to team and coach assigned team.
Act as the operational lead for unscheduled downtimes, incorporating a logical approach to root cause identification using available data (PI, OIS).
Inform, advice and liaise between all levels of management, operations and maintenance to communication appropriate information to the appropriate level, including daily expectations and messages of routines nature.
What do you need for this role?
High School diploma or GED certificate and 5+ years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in a Technical/Engineering discipline and 1+ year of experience is required.
Industrial experience, chemical experience, and/or supervisory experience is a plus.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Maximo, PI, OIS, Kronos is a plus.
Must be an effective leader and have positive influence on hourly workforce.
Strong motivational, organizational, and interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Facilities operate on a 24/7 continuous schedule, ability to work rotating shifts, holidays and weekends is a must.
Demonstrated use of structure problem solving methods (e.g. 8 step).
Physical work environment is frequently outdoors with exposure to varying temperatures from below 32 degrees to above 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

Physically able to use standard safety equipment which is rated for 300 pounds or less
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
