Are you our next HR Associate?

As a business partner and an extension of the overall Human Resources Team, the Human Resources Associate will work with people leaders and employees to provide a culture that supports innovation and continuous improvement. This person will provide HR consultative and business focused services to people leaders and employees in the assigned business unit/location/function. The HR Associate will consult on talent management/development, compensation, benefits, coaching/guidance to people leaders and employees, employee engagement, employee relations, and day to day HR support. This role will support and commute between the New Wales and Riverview facilities.

What will you do?

  • HR Services Support: Coordinates the effective and efficient delivery of HR Services including: compensation, training and development, performance management, employee relations/investigations, communication, grievances, etc. Work closely with hiring managers and recruitment team to support hiring needs. Participate in selection and onboarding processes. Employ a variety of communication strategies to ensure the workforce is receiving information in a timely and effective manner. Develop and maintain relationships with all employees. Liaison with HR specialists and HR shared services as appropriate.

  • HR Generalist Support: Assist with Generalist activities, including disciplinary efforts, contract interpretation and compliance, and negotiations preparation. Coordinate related logistics for meetings, performance and compensation review sessions, etc. Support HR and local management data inquiries and reporting needs. Gathers and reviews data in the assigned areas, coordinates with relevant managers, and assists in the preparation of evaluations, analysis, reports, and recommendations as required.

  • HR Business Partner: Actively contributes to the delivery, communication, and measurement of short- and long-term business strategies and plans in alignment with the broader delivery of enterprise-wide HR programs and functions, including employee engagement, workforce planning, talent management, leadership development, career management, people leader effectiveness, and other people development initiatives.

  • Miscellaneous job duties and projects as assigned.

What do you need for this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of professional human resources experience required

  • HS Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant HR experience is required in lieu of degree

  • Very knowledgeable of U.S. employment laws and practices

  • Public company experience preferred

  • Project management skills preferred

  • Candidate must be proficient in a Microsoft Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Experience with Workday HRIS preferred

  • Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills, including excellent presentation and facilitation skills

  • Strong interpersonal, coaching and influencing skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and relationship-building skills are required

  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information

  • Strong teambuilding and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and practices

  • Ability to effectively work and create effective partnerships with employees at all levels within the organization

  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision making skills

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, continuous improvement and analytical skills

  • Ability to commute between Riverview and New Wales facilities

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
