Are you our next IT Data Architect Sr – Analytics?
The IT Data Architect Sr – Analytics will collaborate with business partners on key engagements and help them derive business value from Data on premise and in the cloud. With a focus on overall data governance and data management for our customer solutions, data analytics and business intelligence solutions, this role will develop and deliver proof-of-concept projects; conduct technical workshops; lead and support implementation projects; and partner with the business to remove constraints that prevent them from leveraging their data to develop business insights by specifically focusing on data processing and data and analytics capabilities.
What will you do?
Serve as the subject matter expert on data governance and data management architecture needs to Mosaic, Create and refine key architecture processes and practices needed to maintain and support Mosaic’s global analytic needs. Provide direction and oversight and participate in the overall design of data models needed to support Mosaic visualizations generated from various data warehouse and data repositories, including the ETL scripts, metadata definitions and management, queries, and maintenance procedures. Share real world implementation challenges and recommend new capabilities that would simplify adoption and drive greater value from use of Mosaic Analytic solutions and services.
Lead the preparation and review of data architecture needs within project proposals/business cases pertaining to Business Analytics and alternatives. Define key elements in Mosaic’s data architecture roadmap and provide key insights on practices and initiatives to mature Mosaic’s data architecture roadmap. Deliver technical engagements with business partners and customers, which will include participating in opportunity evaluations, understanding customer requirements, creating proposals and creating packaged Data & Analytics service offerings. Engagements will include pilots to validate the various Mosaic Analytic tool usage, the migration of existing applications, and development of new applications using Mosaic Analytic solutions.
Work with IT and the business to collaboratively develop and maintain standards and best practices relating to requirements definition, process/solution design, and BI solution implementation (delivery and support) of Mosaic’s data architecture. Implement and execute ongoing support and project activities for Mosaic platforms, business analytics, data integrations and data architectures. Escort successful business analytic change throughout the organization by imagining bold, new possibilities that will enable Mosaic’s business analytics data architecture. Other job duties and projects as assigned.
What do you need for this role?
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field preferred
5+ years of experience of IT platform implementation in a highly technical and analytical role.
For those candidates without a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of relevant Mosaic experience is required
3+ years of experience with data modeling and data architecture implementations
Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment.
Experience with analytic solutions applied to decision making needs of enterprises
Demonstrated best practice leadership in BI data modeling development
Demonstrated best practice leadership in the fields of database, data warehousing and data management
Experience with Self Service Analytic Tools
Hands-on experience in Implementation and performance tuning with BOBJ, HANA and Data Lake solutions
Background in mining or chemical fields is a plus
Computer Science or Math background preferred
HANA certification is a plus
Metadata Management Tools
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Azure Data Lake solutions
