The Mosaic Company IT Security Analyst - Cybersecurity Risk and Compliance in Riverview, Florida

Are you our next IT Security Analyst – Cyber-security Risk and Compliance?

The IT Security Analyst – Cybersecurity Risk and Compliance supports the Mosaic security strategy through the execution of technical controls continuous monitoring and audit processes. The role is responsible for routine testing of key security controls in support of both internal and external compliance efforts, coordinates with multiple teams to facilitate internal and external audit initiatives, tracks ongoing audit remediation efforts, and applies risk evaluation methods to determine cyber risks based on existing compliance environment.

What will you do?

  • Perform routine and ongoing internal security controls testing to assess and validate their operating effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with process owners, auditors, and stakeholders to support compliance monitoring and status, coordinate internal and external control activities, and track and report on remediation actions and responses to control deficiencies.

  • Assess internal controls and associated compliance state to determine cyber risk levels. Collaborate with Cybersecurity Risk Management to document risks and remediation. Coordinate with control owners to mitigate controls-based risks.

  • Work to automate and streamline security controls and associated evidentiary materials, with an intent to improve audit efficiency and minimize compliance burden.

  • Provide management with recurring compliance status reporting. Other job duties and projects as assigned.

What do you need for this role?

  • Associate’s degree required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Major Computer Science, Information Security or related field preferred

  • CISA, CIA, GSEC, CISSP or other relevant industry certifications preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in information security, IT audit, compliance management or similar roles in a corporate environment required

  • Skilled at audit processes, documentation, and best practices

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory users and groups

  • Working understanding of cybersecurity controls and processes

  • Working understanding of controls design and internal controls catalogs

  • Working understanding of cloud and service-based technology offerings

  • Basic knowledge of (or a strong desire to learn) SAP security design, configuration and management

  • Basic understanding of (or a strong desire to learn) common security technologies (IDS, Firewall, SIEM, etc.)

  • Strong verbal, written, listening and communication skills

  • Ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding

  • Ability to learn complex technical solutions

  • Natural curiosity to understand how things work

  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated problem solving techniques and strong analytical skills

  • Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team across the organization

  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision making skills

  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Candidates that are bilingual in English and Spanish/Portuguese with fluency in speaking, reading and writing are preferred
