The EHS Management Systems Coordinator will implement and sustain current Health and Safety risk processes across the facility, in conjunction with Operations and EHS, which includes operational control effectiveness to eliminate and or reduce the risks and impacts.
What will you do?
Implement and sustain current Health and Safety risk processes across the facility, in conjunction with Operations and EHS, which includes operational control effectiveness to eliminate and or reduce the risks and impacts.
Coordinate the completion of gap assessments against defined management system standards with internal parties that includes corrective actions necessary to close identified gaps.
Oversee and coordinate all elements of the management system to support ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 standards that include all documentation, communication, approval, and training.
Provide regular updates on current state of management systems, participate in leadership meetings as well as provide recommendations to site leadership by compiling and presenting various reports and data analysis. Collaborate with key business partners to include multiple locations to identify solutions, create best practices, knowledge share and consistent execution. Serve as change agent with new program initiatives.
Ensure all management system elements are kept as required to comply with existing standards and Mosaic requirements. Generate, distribute, communication the status of management system reporting and metrics
Responsible for ensuring employees and contractor groups under his/her control are made aware of pertinent health, safety, and environmental hazards and aspects
Ensures appropriate follow up on issues that arise out of the audits and inspections.
What do you need for this role?
High School diploma and 9 years of experience in a technical or operations role OR Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and 5 years of experience with a degree
Practical EHS experience/demonstrated knowledge is required
A thorough understanding of phosphate operations and EHS policies and procedures is essential
Prior experience in EHS role preferred
Experience with training development and/or learning management systems (LMS) is highly desired.
Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 is strongly preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word required
Self-motivated with the ability to manage numerous assignment simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to foster cooperation and collaboration among different functional work groups
Strong analytical and problem solving skills involving issues of a difficult and sensitive nature
Ability to effectively liaise with all levels throughout the organization, as well as external parties.
Ability to actively listen and move conversation to constructive dialogue
Physical work environment is frequently outdoors. Frequently exposed to varying temperatures from below 32 degrees to above 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
