Are you our next Terminal Maintenance Manager?

The Terminal Maintenance Manager will Create, implement and manage the Mechanical Integrity, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Management of Change (MOC) and Process Safety Management (PSM) programs for all seven domestic distribution sites. Responsible for leading a team that provides maintenance, PSM, and electrical and instrumentation (E/I) support to Mosaic Terminals and warehouses. This position works closely with the site Superintendents to ensure timely planning, execution and implementation of maintenance programs.

What will you do?

  • Mechanical Integrity: Lead and manage implementation of the Mechanical Integrity programs for the 7 terminals/warehouses to eliminate defects and lower risks.

  • Lead and manage the Mechanical Integrity process for inspections, determining criticality of deficiencies, making recommendations for repairs and updating tracking software and database. Interface with Potash and Phosphate Business Unit Mechanical Integrity Program Managers to ensure alignment across Mosaic

  • Leadership: Provide work direction to the Planners and E/I Technicians on the team as well as timely and constructive feedback to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, business goals and performance standards.

  • Manage performance issues when necessary. Develop and coach employees in order to retain and grow organizational talent.

  • Support employees in their career development at Mosaic.

  • Management of Change (MOC) and Process Safety Management (PSM): Manage the MOC and PSM programs for all 7 terminal/warehouses and drive the execution of both through key relationships and influential support at each site.

  • Provide leadership to the Terminal maintenance planners with MOC and PSM implementation.

  • Maintenance Projects and Preventive Maintenance (PMs): Oversee implementation of maintenance program, increasing use of Maximo as a business tool across sites and maturing the preventive maintenance programs at the 7 Mosaic Terminals/warehouses.

  • Ensure PMs are triggered, distributed and completed within the specified timeframes.

  • Ensure measurement and monitoring occurs and metrics are in place to track conformance.

  • CMMS and Support: Provide support to maintain equipment records within the CMMS.

  • Serve as an area resource for CMMS expertise.

  • Provide/coordinate training to area personnel as needed.

What do you need for this role?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technical, and Operations or related with 5 years of equivalent experience required.

  • 10 years of equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree.

  • Maintenance Planning, Process Safety Management, electrical and instrumentation systems

  • Experience working in an Industrial Environment Operating or managing experience in fertilizer terminal or plant with specific experience leading teams while working with material operations and maintenance required.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and understand the interrelations within an industrial facility required.

  • Demonstrated experience in Process Safety Management in the fertilizer industry and/or hazard materials required.

  • Must have strong knowledge of Homeland Security and Maritime Security regulations and policies.

  • TWIC, Valid driver’s license required.

  • Intermediate computer skills, which includes proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) required.

  • Working knowledge of SAP, Maximo, AON, Omega and other Mosaic Systems is preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
