Are you our next Corporate Social Responsibility Manager?

The Corporate Social Responsibility Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of Mosaic’s corporate community responsibility strategy and will advocate for Mosaic on agricultural and industry issues. This person will manage the company’s corporate and the Foundation’s global community investment budget; provide public leadership in positioning Mosaic as a leader in relevant issues; position the company’s senior executives for success in the Tampa community; engage, develop and direct partnerships with various internal and external stakeholders including NGOs, trade associations and others; and govern, communicate and execute global community investment systems and strategy.

What will you do?

Community Investment Portfolio:

  • Ensure the corporate community responsibility strategy aligns with Mosaic’s business strategy and design, develop and execute any adjustments to the strategy.

  • Provide oversight and direction for all aspects of corporate grant making and The Mosaic Company Foundation and manage the community investment portfolio.

  • Serve as an advisor to Public Affairs colleagues in Mosaic business units and geographies to develop partnerships as requested, which will include oversight and vetting of opportunities, measurement of success and implementation of grants.

  • Direct corporate United Way campaign and serve as a resource to business unit United Way campaigns.

  • Report regularly to senior leadership team, Foundation board and corporate board on community investment strategy and outcomes.

  • Develop internal and external communications plans with community investment partners and Public Affairs staff.

  • Oversee Mosaic’s Villages programs in India.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Manage the design and delivery of a comprehensive, corporate-wide responsibility program that aligns with Mosaic’s business strategy.

  • Leverage community investments by advocating for Mosaic at various agricultural and industry conferences, meetings and events.

  • Engage, develop and manage partnerships with various internal and external stakeholders including NGOs, trade associations, and others.

  • Participate in key agriculture industry groups that are supported by Mosaic charitable funding and advocate for Mosaic’s best interests

  • Leverage and integrate partnerships by communicating community investments and other partnership successes.

  • Help identify key issues and leaders of importance to Mosaic and explore partnership opportunities. Provide guidance on volunteer opportunities to drive employee engagement.

  • Lead social reputation measurement through surveys, market research tools and other external outreach to identify opportunities and results.

Local Community Engagement:

  • Ensure that Mosaic senior executives are appropriately represented in key industry and community groups in the Tampa and Hillsborough County communities.

  • Manage local community group relationships.

Community Investment and Foundation Budge Management:

  • Manage the corporate portion of the company’s community investment budget including governance, tax eligibility and internal financial reporting for grant making.

  • Responsible for the Foundation corpus investments, budget, policies, internal and external audits and external reporting requirements.

  • Create and manage organization-wide policies, processes and procedures for approving, disbursing and tracking community investments.

  • Other job duties and projects as assigned.

What do you need for this role?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public policy, business, liberal arts, or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of progressive experience focusing on grant making, international development, program management, corporate social responsibility, corporate philanthropic programs and community investment activities, including work with a corporate foundation, the nonprofit sector, and/or related fields.

  • Experience working with NGOs, community decision makers, and opinion leaders is desired.

  • Familiarity with and eagerness to learn about national and global agriculture issues is desired.

  • Familiarity with foundations, corporate giving and related giving trends is preferable.

  • Knowledge of global food security issues and agricultural development is a plus.

  • Strong writing skills.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

  • Internet research and data analysis skills.

  • Excellent verbal, writing, presentation, and listening skills.

  • Ability to communicate persuasively with employees, senior management, external stakeholders, and the public at all levels.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be self-directed and have the ability to plan and organize large projects.

  • Strong business acumen.

  • Ability to effectively execute processes.

  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Must demonstrate sound judgement and decisiveness.

  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
