Are you our next Technical Sales Manager?
The Technical Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for creating a market for and driving sales of Mosaic’s performance fertilizer products in the region. This role will manage the market creation process, working with customers to meet established goals and achieve long term strategies with Mosaic products.
Territory consists of Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.
What will you do?
Developing and executing annual performance product sales goals.
The TSM is responsible for support and development of coordinating marketing tactics with individual customers in their geography.
The TSM works closely with account managers, marketing, product line, agronomy, and other functional areas to achieve goals.
Responsible for input on market trends and sales strategy.
Responsible for day to day customer training revolving around Mosaic products including: product knowledge and positioning, basic agronomic and soil science principles, creating a business case for selling MicroEssentials, Aspire and K-Mag, portfolio alignment, agronomic value and sustaining the value of performance products within each market segment.
Develop an annual calendar of activities for the promotional and training activities by customer in their region.
Work with an account manager to create regular product analysis, forecasts and customer data transfer back to sales leadership and other functional areas.
Responsible for assisting with new product development efforts for evaluation and launch of new products in their territory.
What do you need for this role?
Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Soil Science or related field required.
Minimum of 5 years Agricultural sales and/or marketing experience, with some experience with retail fertilizer sales preferred.
Proven success in selling proprietary products or technology driven markets such as traits, specialized agronomic products and/or services.
Strong agronomic understanding, be results oriented and customer focused.
Bilingual English/French preferred.
