We are currently seeking a Technical Sales Representative. The location will be virtual eastern Canada. The successful candidate is responsible for promoting the growth of premium fertilizer products in their assigned territory by providing added customer support. This is a development role with focus on implementation of marketing and sales strategies developed by the Technical Sales Manager (TSM), Account Manager (AM) and Senior Manager of Premium Products.
What will you be working on?
Provide sales support by calling on key sales locations throughout their assigned geography. Organize and participate in technical and promotional field days, customer related events and Mosaic conferences/forums. Learn and implement local training and promotional materials. Implement an annual calendar of activities by customer in their territory that is developed by their manager and AM.
Communicate a local value proposition based on collection of testimonials and local on farm test results. Conduct day to day customer training/promotion revolving around premium products including: Product knowledge and positioning, portfolio alignment, agronomic positioning, value proposition and sustaining the value of premium products.
Implement marketing plan developed by the Senior Manager of Premium Products and Account Manager. Execute activities designed to achieve business goals on Premium Products. Work with Account Manager(s), Senior Agronomist, Marketing and other limited functional areas to support customer needs. Provide regular local perspectives on growth opportunities by customer with TSM and Account Manager(s).
Other job duties and projects as assigned, including coordinating with quality team within the territory.
What is required for this role?
Bachelor degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, or related field.
A Minimum of 1 or more years of experience in Agronomy or Soil Science role or in a similar role in Ag retail.
Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) designation is preferred.
Strong computer skills, which includes proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
Strong Customer Relationship and listening skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation and training skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and results-oriented. Good team-building and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently. Ability to adapt to a continually changing business, and work environment and is able to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to travel at least 60% of the time.
Advanced French language skills is preferred.
Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.
Must be authorized to work in Canada.
